Top Ten Metros with Highest Yearly Price Gains
We have ALL noticed the home prices going up in the DFW area, but there are 10 metros that are REALLY feeling it. These top 10 have seen increases of 28% or more in just one year! Half of the areas that made the list are in Florida. “Traditionally, homes in these markets were viewed as relatively inexpensive, but with recent migration trends, prices have increased significantly,” says Lawrence Yun, NAR’s chief economist. “As more families relocate to various areas, we may see some surprising markets on our top 10 list.” With mortgage rates on the rise, rapid home price escallations should decrease. We should see the market start to level out in the coming months.
Tarrant County March 2022 Housing Update
March stats for Tarrant County: Median home price is ⬆️ 22.8% compared to March 2021. Months of inventory is 0.7, which is down slightly from last year at this time. Average days on market is 9 days less than March 2021. As interest rates increase, the market may see a slow down and inventory should increase some. However, the DFW area is still a hot place to be. Data shows that between 200-300 people are moving to the DFW metroplex daily! So simple supply and demand rules from economics class apply here. Our demand for the area is still super strong with low inventory, so home values will continue to remain high, and in some areas, will continue to rise.
Monkey Bread
My kids love monkey bread on a lazy Saturday morning! It's definitely a family favorite on Christmas morning too. You can prepare it the night before and refrigerate overnight. I just find that the cook time needs to be increased if your are popping it in the oven straight from the fridge. Enjoy!
