Top Ten Metros with Highest Yearly Price Gains

We have ALL noticed the home prices going up in the DFW area, but there are 10 metros that are REALLY feeling it.  These top 10 have seen increases of 28% or more in just one year! Half of the areas that made the list are in Florida.

“Traditionally, homes in these markets were viewed as relatively inexpensive, but with recent migration trends, prices have increased significantly,” says Lawrence Yun, NAR’s chief economist. “As more families relocate to various areas, we may see some surprising markets on our top 10 list.”

With mortgage rates on the rise, rapid home price escallations should decrease.  We should see the market start to level out in the coming months.
